ugh I want to go to the freibad and lay out in the sun and go swimming! Unfortunately it involves a certain amount of bus taking and walking and not knowing exactly where I'm going that I don't really want to undertake by myself, and also what fun is going to the pool by yourself. I guess I'll just have to wait till other people can go too, and for now just continue sitting around my room in my underwear because it's so hot. sigh.
In other news, I have a presentation in german for a german seminar with a german partner on thursday. Doing it with a partner is actually the best thing that could've happened, because, at the moment at least, I am not stressed about it at ALL. I did a ton of research a while ago (we have to write a big paper about it too later) because I had (and still have!) tons of time, and then my partner is really on top of things, and everything I'm saying is what I've written in german and then she's changed to actually sound not like an english-speaking person trying to speak german, and she is totally not stressed and confident that we don't even need to run through it together, that we'll be fine and in between 15 and 20 minutes. So that's good.
I have also been doing things such as going to a renaissance festival thing in Horb, which, lets face it, is better than American renaissance festivals just for the pure reason that Horb has been a city since year 1090 (i just looked that up actually!), so all the people dressed up and brandishing swords and big scary axe-type things seem kind of legit.
I've also been watching more soccer than I ever thought I would be watching (which isn't even that much compared to a lot of people in this crazy country) and actually sometimes kind of enjoying it (whoa whats going on). It's exciting when people are excited about it! Probably a similar phenomemon to my enjoyment of michigan football, but definitely on a smaller scale in this case.
And now the sun is behind a cloud and the wind is ziemlich cool, so I suppose it's ok that I'm not laying outside and furthering the destruction of my already multi-colored shoulders. I'll go translate some words instead woohooo!
