So way back in January, I set a goal to make 50 recipes this year that I hadn't tried before. I learned a ton about cooking, and now, calling them different recipes almost seems like splitting hairs. Now I think in terms of recipe categories, and feels a sense of fluency in the kitchen that makes things more natural.  . Since its 12:30, and I have to leave for the airport in seven hours for a trip I'll get into, maybe, later, I won't get too detailed about that.

Of note is the fact that for 40 days I couldn't eat anything I liked, so I simply didn't cook, and lived mostly on peaches and yogurt and tofu.  So I fell short, and won't be cooking again this calendar year.

It feels like a cheat to count roasted squash, since I've done that, but I hadn't done it with orange.  See? So its splitting hairs.

I have thoughts on all of these, but ... oh LJ, how is it that I used to have more time for you?  You must feel so abandoned. I missed fifty by a bit but the list aint bad.
