Rec! (and then I babble about Doctor Who)
So, mistyzeo wrote me wonderful, sweet, hot Jensen/Danneel/Jared for spn_j2_xmas, and it is wonderful and sweet and hot and therefore you should read it. Jensen, Danneel, and Jared all work in a diner and have wonderfully normal lives, and then Danneel figures out that Jensen is really into Jared and they all GO ON DATES and then there is sex, and it is all great. Danneel is awesome and Jared is adorable and Jensen is so into her and so into him, and yeah. GO READ IT.
Additionally, I have been watching Doctor Who with my mom because she bought me season 1 (that is, Christopher Eccleston) for Christmas, and it's so funny rewatching it now because the first time I did, I had seen Torchwood first, and my view of Captain Jack was really skewed by that. And DW fandom was huge and full of miserable ship wars, and I enjoyed it, but I didn't want to touch the fandom with a ten-foot pole. And now that feels like a really long time ago.
Which is to say, I'm enjoying it even more this time through! I can watch Captain Jack being charming and not think about him being bitter and cruel the way he often was on Torchwood (YMMV, obviously). And I still think that the end of "The Doctor Dances" is one of my favorite things ever on TV. When the Doctor says, "Just this once, everyone lives," with such absolute joy, I just. IDK. I love it. It makes me tear up just thinking about it sometimes. And I think about it a lot, that look of surprise and gratitude and happiness, the idea that every once in a while, all too rarely, everything works out. Even when you're the Doctor and the entire universe threatens to collapse around you all the time. Just this once, everyone lives. Like I said, I have a lot of feelings.
I love David Tennant's face pretty intensely (the freckles help), but I love the 9th doctor a whole lot too. In conclusion, you should come talk to me about Doctor Who. And cross your fingers I don't have to work on Tuesday night because that would make my life way better.
