LJ Action - Just Say No

I have a fic that needs polishing by the end of the evening or someone may come after me with a paddle, but first I would draw your attention to this and the clarification of it, and ask that you think about what advertising of this kind on lj really means. Here is my take on one of my specific concerns about it, since I feel like a lot of other people have eloquently covered the really big issues. It has to do with the rights of the maintainers of sponsored communities like scienceofsleep to mix with us commoners, even though their purpose on lj is principally to make money for their sponsor (look at the desolate userinfo of most the maintainers of that comm and you'll see what I mean). It's kind of creepy, really.

Add your voice to 41 (at my last count) pages of comments, if you wish, if you think you have something to say, even if it's just "no." (Or "yes, advertise to meee!" if you really want.)
