“Go get Rosie.”
“No. I’m not going anywhere.!”
“Go and get Rosie please?”
“No Soph. I don’t leave you. Please just let us talk. Please Sophie! I love you so much Please let us talk this out please? I swear nothing happened between me and Ry. I pushed him of me. Just believe me. Please?”
I pushed myself from the ground slowly standing up and walking over to the sink. I put my hands on it looking in the mirror I let out a sigh. I turn the water so it was cold and splashed some into my face making the blood go away not looking at my reflection for once.
“Sophie?! Please just let us talk about this?”
I dried my face off before throwing the towel at the hospital bed. I looked at Sian who was now standing protectively in front of the door.
“You really make this hard, don’t you?”
“Please Sophie just let us talk about this? Please? I’m beggin ya!”
“Don’t Sian.”
“What?”
“Don’t make me hurt you.”
I walked towards the door. As I tried to reach the handle my hands were slapped away.
“No Sophie. We are going to talk through this!”
“Sian…just..just let me out of this door…I…I will talk to you when I’m ready. Just let me go, okay?”
I looked into her eyes silently pleading her to see sense in my words. I never broke the contact as I reached for the handle again.
“I’m sorry Sian, but I need to think about this one. You know I love you, I really do, but it does my head in right know and I need to think about it, babe. I’m not gonna break up with you, not in a million years. You are stuck with me.”
“Forever?”
“Forever…Just…Just give me a little time and space?”
I reached for her cheek with my other hand placing a soft and tender kiss on her nose and her temple.
“I love you, don’t forget.”
I pulled the door open and walked past her smiling sadly as she looked to the ground. I saw Rosie sitting a few meters away flicking through a magazine.
“Uh…and Sian?”
“Yeah?”
“If you see Ryan you can tell him if he does come anywhere near you again and try it on with you he will be dead before he can say peanuts, okay?”
“Sure…I will wait for you. Please don’t take too long...”
I smiled warmly at her before I turned around walking towards the entrance trying to keep my gaze towards the door and not looking back.
----- SIAN P.O.V. -----
I watched her leave hoping that everything will work out soon, that she will forgive me and come around soon. I saw Rosie sitting in her chair like nothing has happened, like she didn’t notice our conversation she flicked through the magazine. I chuckled at her.
“What’s going on with ya?!”
“Oh, nothing really…”
“So where’s my sister?”
“She is gone. Said she would walk home because she needed time to think…”
“I should probably go after her then.”
She stood up and began walking to the exit as I stood there all alone. Thinking I should probably go home too I searched for my car keys but I couldn’t find them. I tried to remember where I put them the last time and then it clicked. I started to run towards the exit as fast as I could. I stopped in front of the hospital looking around quickly to spot Rosie a few hundred meters in front of me.
“ROSIE!!! ROSIE!!!” I screamed hoping she would just turn around and stop walking as I started to run again.
“What’s wrong Sian?”
“Will you please just stop?”
I was only a few meter away from her now.
“What’s your problem Sian? I need to catch up with my sister and these heels don’t fucking help you know.”
“I know… I know but please can I have my car keys and phone back?”
“Course you can…I totally have forgotten I still have them...”
She rummaged in her bag what seemed like hours till she found them. Seriously this girl must have been dropped onto her head many times when she was a baby.
“Ah no problem…so shall I drive you home?”
“You would do that?”
“Yeah. You know I guess we will see each other more often and Sophie would like if we two get on. So why don’t we start right now and I will give you a lift?”
