All good things, or some such nonsense...
I'm on the train heading back to London right now. Will be in London until Sunday, then fly home Sunday morning. Jase, of course, is back on the boat wandering around the ocean in a vaguely homeward direction (because subs are constitutionally unable to go in a straight line), and therefore not with me. But we had almost 3 days and made the most of every moment of it so while I'm a little sad that he had to leave mostly I'm content. Tuesday we just went to the hotel, ate dinner, and spent time together, catching up on the last month and a half. Wednesday we went to Paisley Abby and Dumbarton Castle, then had dinner at a wonderful B&B in Dumbarton. Thursday we spent the day in Edinburgh, had breakfast in a pub, saw a palace, and similar tourist type things. Then we went back to the B&B in Dumbarton for dinner before I took him back to where the boat was. Got back to the hotel almost at midnight after getting thoroughly lost in Glasgow trying to get back to my hotel. Today was just getting packed up, the car turned in, and myself to the train station. I have a ton of pictures and will post a few favorites when I get back home.
