OK- I read this and I think you should too. It is kind of long but girls may be able to relate and understand it and boys should read it because I said to and because I want to know what you guys are REALLY looking for in a woman. Be honest. I'm not saying I agree completely about everything she says but it made me think about some things.

What guys are looking for more than anything is approval. The truth is (in general) guys are terrified of women. Society has really built this men and women thing into something that it never was. They have made us into two completely separate cultures and told us: men want this and women want this and that's the way it is... it's a fact of life. So, People believe the shit. Men believe that they have to be something impressive or something they're really not in order to have a woman, which they believe they couldn't have otherwise. So, in short, they think poorly of themselves, but in the same instance women think poorly of themselves. Both men and women are seeking to be accepted and feel loved. At the bottom of all of this, we all just want to be happy. It's all very complicated. So, there's tons of deception going on. Anyway, it is true that most of the time men go after women who are "under" them because they want to reaffirm to themselves that they are powerful and as good as they hope they are, but they never know for sure. Women on the other hand are being told all their lives that they have to earn the attention and affection of men by being slutty and good in bed and stuff. All that business just leads to a bunch of empty shit for men and women. It's horrible. Oh, well. I can't speak for everybody, but I can speak for myself. I know what I want, and I don't need to be lifted up by having a woman under me. I know I'm better than most people. I'm not perfect by any means, but I want someone who will be successful, someone that I can learn from and grow with, someone smart and fun, someone who cares about the important things, a good mom, and a caring person. I'm not scared of women. I don't need approval, but I do need someone who understands that I'm not everyone else.
