priorities
So, here's the deal, I'm aware of an organization that collects and displays historical items from a long ago war that is an obession here in the area where I live...that has an annual fundraising goal in the several million dollar range and has already nearly met their goal for 2006. I'm also aware of another organziation that is providing a service to children and families that is necesary and profound in it's impact that set an annual fund goal of several thousand dollars for this year and as of June were only a 1/3 of the way to acheiving that goal.
WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE??????? How does it happen in our world that an agency providing human services struggles to raise a few thousand dollars and an organziation that does nothing but preserve historical stuff can easily raise in the millions??????? WHERE ARE OUR PRIORITIES??????? GRRRRR is all I can say about that...
