(no subject)
I am having a hard time adjusting to out here. Everything is so different and I know so few people. It really makes it tough. Tonight I am home alone because Julie and Katie both went to the Keith Urban concert. I would have like to have gone, but it was too late to get a ticket, so oh well.
Went into DC for the night last night. Sat around and watched Sex and the City with a group of chics. Fun stuff. I love my Sex and the City. This morning was the Race for the Cure in DC. It was a 5k around the mall so we went past a lot of the major monuments and such, so that was interesting. There were 47,000 people participating. It was awesome to see so many people out for a great cause like that. I walked most of it, and realized how out of shape I am, but thats ok, Im joining Curves on Monday so hopefully if I stick to it I will be able to get in shape and get toned a little bit. On the way to the race today we took the Metro. We ended getting off at the wrong stop so we went to get back on. I got on then the door closed leaving everyone else behind. That was a real scary thing there for a minute. Luckily I got off at the next stop which was the right one, and the rest of the group was on the next train and I was able to find them easily. SCARY!!!
I spent like an hour and a half at the stupid Verizon store tonight, it sucked. For the last few days I have been able to send text messages, but I cant recieve them and I don't get my voice mails. That really sucks cause I use text so much. They couldnt find the problem so they warrantied my phone out, but it still doesnt work. Hopefully when tech support calls me back tomorrow they will be able to figure out the problem and get it fixed. Grr.
My room is such a mess. I have no motivation to try to get everything unpacked and put away. There is stuff everywhere. I came home today with the intent of doing that and went right to sleep. I really needed that though so it was a good thing. Now to try to get to it now.
