Antigone
I really liked this play because I think it showed that family is really the only thing you have. Yes, Creon was Polyneices’s uncle and he made a law that said no one could bury him but his sister came to his rescue. I have to give her credit though because she was brave enough to go against everyone and give her brother a proper burial. Her sister on the other hand was the biggest baby. She tried to stop Antigone from burying her brother and then sat back and let her sister be put in jail. She sat back and let her entire family be destroyed and she never even lifted a finger to help her family. Antigone is the only hero or even good person for that matter in this story. She is the only person that even tries to do what is right the entire story. I hate Creon because he lets one of the brother kick the other out then when he came back to make things right he will not allow him to be buried with honor. All Polyneices was doing was trying to reclaim what was half his. He went about it the entirely wrong way and he got himself killed, but he was doing what he thought was needed. I think he should have just gone right to his brother and skipped the entire war.
