I posted these in other people's journals, but decided I probably ought to have them saved in my own so I'm reposting them here. :D

I like buying manga-volumes way better than buying magazines like Shoujo Beat, but ...

Heh, I love it, and they included an AB poster in one issue so not only do I have what they've serialized in the magazine and the first tankobon they published but I've got an Absolute Boyfriend poster for my room. :D
I think they also serialize Godchild and Nana in Shoujo Beat?
*Nods.* Well, they carried some of Godchild in the magazine before they started selling it in tankobons, and rotated it out of the magazine in favor of adding a new comic in it's place. They're still carrying Nana. I'm not too fond of it. When I first got Shojo Beat (they don't use the u) I liked Absolute Boyfriend, Godchild, and Kaze Hikaru. The only one of those still in the magazine is AB. But, one of the new series they added is Vampire Knight, and I like it.

*Nods.* I think "refreshing" is a good word for it. ;)
I wouldn't mind reading the whole article xD ^^
I'm not sure what the easiest way to do that would be. I mean I have my copy of the TIME saved, but I don't know if you could find it in a library. *Ponders.*

You're very welcome. I originally posted the snippet for a friend who was feeling uncomfortable having and talking about having muses. I was hoping it would make her feel more sane and it did. I'm glad to see it help others feel better about dealing with their muses too. :)

Marvel comics?...I'm a HUGE Spiderman & X-men nerd.
And thanks for the plot summary of Forever Knight. It kinda sounds like Angel(not that that's bad) I may check it out.

The female lead orders a very life like robot to be her boyfriend, and from what I've seen so far it's about, "Can a robot be a perfect boyfriend?"

My father was a HUGE Spiderman fan in the 60's. He had a Merry Marvel Marching Society membership. I was a HUGE X-Men fan in the late 80's and the early 90's. I had a Wild Agents of Marvel membership.

LOL It's, oh, 10 years older than Angel. Not only is the original pilot older than Buffy, the whole series was over before the Buffy TV series began. And, I think the main thing Nick and Angel have in common is the, "I was a bad vampire and now I want to be a good one," drive. :D

That was the similarity I was noticing.

I love Yuu Watase's artwork. I haven't tried all her stories by any stretch. I'm busy enough just collecting her series Fushigi Yugi, Ceres: Celestial Legend, and Absolute Boyfriend. I can say though that each of those series are different. The heroines may all be teenage girls, but each one of them is a character in her own right.

Thing is, completely setting aside the general differences between FK and Joss'verse vampires, Nick was never the kind of killer Angel was. His guilt doesn't come from having been Angelus. His guilt comes from having been a Crusader, one that really believed in the cause, and having gotten turned into a vampire. They're very different characters, and I haven't thought about it before but I'm not sure what Nick would think of Angel.
