See, plenty to go around! Oh the benefits of multiple actors for one character. Peter Davison's my first call of the orginals, but Paul beats him on curly hair. Yummm.
Heh, if you'd like some Peter Davison icons I can make you some. I told Hmpf ranking the first 8 Doctors off the top of my head. I haven't seen the 9th, and I know Peter Cushing was just playing the same Doctor as Hartnell. I'd rank them...
1. Tom Baker 2. Colin Baker 3. Paul McGann 4. Peter Davison 5. John Pertwee 6. Sylvester McCoy 7. Patrick Troughton 8. William Hartnell
Thanks for the offer, but i'm far too territorial to use other people's icons... it's my own or nuttin' (even in the beginning when they were awwwful lol).
I certainly respect Tom Baker the most.. he was really the doctor... but Peter Davison was just so cute... i'd be so tempted to beat him with his cricket bat though... >:P

Fair enough. Me, I can be plied with iconage should you ever have need.

*Nods.* I think, even though he wasn't the first Doctor, it's rather like Sean Connery and James Bond. Other actors have played the role, but for most people Sean Connery/Tom Baker were definitively James Bond/The Doctor. Everyone else has just been playing the role.
but Peter Davison was just so cute...
He was cute, but... maybe because we'd watched him play Tristan on All Creatures Great and Small first... I always just thought of him as family.
Like I told Kiji most of my favorite Doctors I think of as family. Paul McGann's though... He definitely should get savaged.
I never saw him in All Creatures Great and Small, never saw him in anything apart from Who - god i seriously need some eps now. I wish they would hurry up and release them on dvd! Wait... have they already? ::gallops off to check amazon::

Oh well, my memory of All Creatures Great and Small is hazy now, but I think it was a show about a family of vets in the British country side before the first World War. Anyway, Peter played the younger brother who was always getting into some kind of trouble.

I know they've released some episodes on DVD here in the States. I can't say without going and looking myself if they've been doing it on the other side of the pond too.
they haven't, the bastards, where's the sense in releasing more in america than over here? its an english show!!! WHAT GOETH ON??? wierd. but neither america nor england has the peterdavison season, bleh.
Well, popping "Doctor Who" in the Amazon DVD search engine this side of the site there's "The Five Doctors" on DVD? Oh, and "The Caves of Androzani." Don't ask me how they managed to pick The Caves out of his series. *Rolls eyes.* Er, there actually seem to be 3 other stories from his time as the doctor. Still, it's four stories, and "The Five Doctors."
