1. I think I've had this since the days of email servers and bulletin boards. My first handle that wasn't simply "Rebecca" was "Dragon Goddess" because a friend on an old BB dedicated to Highlander: The Series called me The Dragon Goddess. I love dragons. I figured if I was going to be going around as "Dragon Goddess" I should have a golden dragon icon.
2. I thought the first couple of Harry Dresden books were okay, but it wasn't until Butcher introduced Michael Carpenter and Thomas Raith that I really got hooked on the series. The first icon I made was Harry telling Michael, "Next time, you handle any dragons." I wasn't thrilled with it. Next, I snagged one, that isn't currently in my userpics, with the quote, "My faith protects me. My Kevlar helps." I benched it after Michael stopped being a Knight. Thomas has remained a favorite, but I haven't read Peace Talks or Battle Ground yet so not sure what's been happening to him lately. I made both of my Thomas icons. This one is a quote from Harry about Thomas. The other is cropped from a comic book.
3. The characters are Magneto from the 90's Marvel Comics crossover event "Age of Apocalypse" and Prince Endymion from the Japanese manga and anime series Sailor Moon. When I was just beginning to have some bravery about sharing some story ideas with others online I shared how I'd had some dreams in which a version of that Magneto found himself in a world that was a version of that Prince Endymion's. I had enough skill with adobe to combine the two in one picture, but someone else turned that picture into a "crossover junkie" icon for me. I love crossovers whether they're comic book characters crossing from one book to another, TV show characters crossing from one show to another, or some other crossing of series. I love them whether they're done in canon or only by fans in fanfiction. I'm all for getting chocolate and peanut butter together. I am a proud crossover junkie.
