Five Things Making Me Happy Right Now

1. I've finally totally completed my course work for my Bachelor's of Arts in English. My final GPA is 2.835. Once the Registrar has done her review to see that I've completed my course work I'll finally get my diploma. It will only have taken me 10 years...
2. liadtbunny has been watching Avatar: The Last Air Bender for the first time. When she mentioned it I remembered having loved Prince Zuko a lot. I told her I loved him and would be happy to talk about him. She gave me the picture I used to make the icon with this post. Seeing the picture made me realize I hadn't remembered just how profoundly I love him. I'm now doing a rewatch of the entire series. Seeing everyone again is making me very happy.
3. I've seen reminders from people in the MCU fandom that the power a story has doesn't come from what the storyteller puts into it--it comes from what you take out of it. I didn't realize how much I needed the reminder until I'd seen it a few times. Now I have an Avengers: Endgame fix-it fic plot bunny I'm not sure where to put up for adoption.
4. I discovered that Princess Amethyst of Gemworld is part of the current Young Justice team from DC, and my local comic book shop had all of the issues that have come out so far--including the first issue with HER as the whole cover. I've loved her since I was 8, I'm 44 now.
5. I also discovered that Clea is appearing in the current storyline in Doctor Strange's latest book. I'll happily take "Magic Wielding Women I've Loved Since I Was a Kid."
