Books, Music, and Netflix

I've enjoyed the book covers people have been posting on my flist as part of the Seven Days Seven Covers meme. I know I'm not capable of making posts for a solid week, I'm not even capable of picking seven books to begin with, but I do want to share some covers so instead of Seven in Seven I'm just gonna post half a dozen book covers at once behind this cut--

I saw the question raised recently, "If you could only listen to five bands for the rest of your life, who would they be," and it intrigues me. It's different from, "Who are your Top Five Favorite Bands," because your Top Five can change a lot over time. It's not a lifetime commitment. "For the rest of your life" is. I believe I'll amend it to "five bands/artists" and list my picks as follows--

--Billy Joel, he reminds me of my dad
--Simon & Garfunkel, they remind me of my mom
--The Tea Party, they remind me of my best friend
--Sting, my personal all-time favorite artist
--The Rolling Stones, my answer to that "Coke or Pepsi, The Beatles or The Rolling Stones" meme always

I've finished the first season of the Netflix series The Umbrella Academy. On a five star scale, I wouldn't give it five like Stranger Things, or Voltron: Legendary Defender (before it went off the rails), but I'd give it a three or four. Similarly, on a ten point scale, I wouldn't give The Umbrella Academy a nine or ten, but I'd give it a seven or eight. It definitely doesn't suck. There are characters I like in the show. At first, the only character I really liked was Four/Klaus, but others grew on me as the story progressed. I feel like it was kind of slow getting going and uneven, but that means that if it gets a second season there's room for improvement. I'd watch more for my favorite characters.
