This and That

1. Survived Thanksgiving even if I was terrified of facing my first Thanksgiving without my father, and just for extra awfulness Thanksgiving this year fell exactly six months after my father's death. I cooked most of the dinner myself, but I ordered the pie from a nice little local bakery. I wanted to be sure if I ruined everything else I would at least have good pie to drown my sorrows in. It didn't go that badly.
2. Really enjoyed the Crisis on Earth X event on the CW for November sweeps. I think I can safely say without getting to spoilery that I felt like there was lots of good stuff with just one sad thing. Of course if anyone would like me to get spoilery about it I'd be happy to do so in comments or PM. I enjoy all the DC shows on the CW, even if I don't watch The Flash regularly, and I think they do a great job with crossovers when they do them. I might have moved from Archie Comics to DC to Marvel just in the span between age 8 and age 11, settling in as a Marvel fan for more than 30 years now, but I remember just enough about things at DC to enjoy DC movies and TV shows without having the protectiveness of any of the characters that I do have with Marvel ones. Well, if someone seriously did something with Amethyst, Princess of Gemworld I might get worked up, but she was the only DC product I really got into. Two of my favorite TV shows are Supergirl and Arrow. In the case of Supergirl, as nice as the Wonder Woman movie was, Melissa Benoist's Supergirl is still my favorite live action DC super heroine.

1. Supergirl

4. The Gifted
5. DC's Legends of Tomorrow
*Currently defined as actively being aired. If I included shows that aren't airing right now, but I know have been picked up for more seasons it would be a different list. It would have Shadowhunters and Killjoys in it knocking off The Gifted and the Legends, though not entirely by simply taking their spots. Shadowhunters would rank higher than 4th.
