Over a decade ago now...*double checks her math*... yeah, over a decade ago now I started keeping a running "Top Ten OTPs (FPs)" list. It can be found waaay back here on the date it was begun, March 14th, 2005. Told you I'd been doing it for more than a decade. When I started it the list was entirely heterosexual pairings because I still wasn't even entirely sure what I thought of slash, and I certainly didn't have slash ships that I was personally emotionally invested in. That started to change as two things happen. First, I passed the age of 30, and then I watched Captain Jack Harkness ask Ianto Jones out on a proper date. Between my aging and my deep and abiding love of Jack/Ianto I've gotten slashier and slashier. My Top Ten FPs list is now evenly split between het and slash. This weekend, as I was thinking about how very much I love the slash pairing Daryun/Narsus, I realized I can now make a full Top Ten Slash Pairings, just as I can still make a full Top Ten Het Pairings. I'll leave that old Top Ten FPs list mixed as it is, but I'm going to post my separate Top Tens for Slash and Het right here right now.
