medieThe first five people (in theory) to comment in this post get to request that I write a drabble/ficlet of any pairing/character of their choosing. In return, they have to post this in their journal, regardless of their ability level.

Donna1. Comment on this post.
2. I will give you a letter.
3. Think of 5 fictional characters and post their names and your comments on these characters in your LJ.
She gave me the letter L.
1. Leia - Without a doubt my favorite female character in all of science fiction. Romana maybe a close second, but nobody beats Princess Leia with me. It's all in the timing. I met Leia first.
2. Logan - Not just any version of Logan. Like Erik Lensherr I'm particular about what Logan is my favorite. (For Erik it's Michael Xavier, running Xavier's school in Charles absence.) My favorite Logan is when he was engaged to Mariko Yashida. I like to imagine them getting married and living happily ever after. Screw canon.
3. Linden Rathan - My favorite weredragon I've seen written professionally. I met him just by noticing the first book featuring him on a library shelf. I wish there were more stories about him.
4. Lestat - Well before Buffy Summers appeared on film or Stephenie Meyer wrote about Edward Cullen there was Lestat de Lioncourt. I had a huge crush on him before Anne Rice had things go all weird. I've got a hardcover edition of The Vampire Lestat I drove hours to get Anne Rice to sign. She wrote, "For Becky, Anne Rice 1993," in it. That's right, I was still "Becky" then.
5. Leela of the Sevateem - I met Louise Jamison at Chicago TARDIS in 2010. I never got the nerve to tell her what lesson I learned from Leela, and haven't forgotten. I remember Leela explaining that the way to a man's heart is under his ribcage--not through it. I can picture her giving the lesson in her Victorian dress during "The Talons of Weng-Chiang." Leela is one of my favorite Companions. She might not make my Top Five, but the Top Ten is another story.
I made an off the cuff list of my Top Five Doctor Watsons in a recent conversation with
persiflage_1. With some consideration, I've changed the order up a bit, but I didn't change who was on it. I only changed how I ranked them.
My Top Five Doctor Watsons
[Updated 8/2/12]
1. Edward Hardwicke*
2. Jude Law
3. Gareth David Lloyd
4. Peter Wingfield
5. Alan Cox
*As far as I'm concerned Jeremy Brett and Edward Hardwicke are the definitive film versions of Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson. The other Watsons on this list are there because they have played less definitive Watsons that I still find to be a lot of fun.
