For Darien
Since... 1) My preschool age Inner Child has been all excited lately, and 2) I've admitted I can't draw. I got the idea to let said Inner Child draw a picture of Darien carrying me up the stairs. I was thinking what it lacked in artistic skill it might make up for with heart. This is just a first effort. We're considering making one or two more attempts, especially if we can get more crayons. The set we got for it was so small we don't have a light enough blue for his skin. Er, anyway, here is our first attempt at drawing a picture of that image on my mind...
The BBC channel that John Barrowman read bedtime stories (yes, I said stories) on, CBeebies, is targeted at preschoolers. The series I discovered on Playhouse Disney, Charlie and Lola, I like so much is from there. I asked my parents if Everett is right about my Inner Child being 3 and 1/2. My mom insists it's 4, but my dad agrees with Everett. So, the artwork and my enthusiasm at finding all 5 of the stories John read at YouTube are what they are.
