Or good to me anyway, considering it started with a "major character death" someone else might not think so. They might also be disturbed that I murdered the person with my bare hands. I was a little surprised I was that hands on. I've killed before, but I tend to use a weapon be it draconic breath weapon or gun. But I get ahead of myself. Set

I know I've seen it. fleta owns a copy of it, and I watched it with her while she was here. But, it didn't make a strong impression on me. Not sure if that means I should give it another try, or just be grateful it didn't make a negative impression on me. *Ponders.*
I kinda-sorta like him in Elizabethtown, but he doesn't shine playing an american in a contemporary setting.
Sounds like I should check that out.
Black Hawk Down was too small of a part, and I'm not overly fond of military anything. Although Eric Bana is very nice in that.
Heh, I've seen it more than once, I don't have a problem with things military, and I like Eric Bana and Ewan MacGregor. I did have to pay attention to catch where Orlando was in the flick. x_x
Wilde is also the tiniest part imaginable. But he's adorable in the 3 seconds he's seen. :D
I keep meaning to see that because I'm a huge Oscar Wilde fan. fleta got me my very own copy of The Ballad of Reading Gaol for Christmas this past year.
I really didn't like Ned Kelly, at all.
I think I thought about seeing it for Heath Ledger at one point, but saw a review of it that made me feel it wasn't worth my time. I might need to check it out in spite of that now that I'm looking for Orlando Bloom I haven't seen. I do want to seem more of Orlando Bloom.
Troy was just 'meh' overall. I didn't like the Hollywood take of the story. The manflesh was worth it, though.
*Giggles.* I grumped so much about Hollywood killing Menelaus and letting Paris live. Heck, why even bother killing Hector and Achilles at that point? *Rolls eyes.* But, not only did I love Eric Bana and Sean Bean, I was pleasantly surprised that while it was a period film it used some color in it's costuming, and while Peter O'Toole and Brian Cox chewed the scenery they did it in amusing fashion. Oh, also can't forget that I got to watch Brad Pitt die, not watching Leonardo DiCaprio die, but still fun.
So yes... Will Turner and Balian of Ibilen for me.
Heh, right now there's just Will Turner for me, but since it's more than I was expecting there may yet be more. ;)
His next, I have heard rumors is another historical (yay!) about Pompeii.
*Nods.* The IMDb says it's a Roman Polanksi film with Robert Harris doing the screenplay from his novel. Not sure what I think of that. I'm not a big fan of the writer or director, but since it's only in pre-production it's way to early to say what the final product might be like.

The theatrical version made me wonder about Sybilla, and exactly why she was there other than set dressing and obligatory romantic partner. Her story was massively butchered, and thankfully restored with the director's cut. And it kinda converted me into a Sybilla/Balian shipper in the process which is a big deal in a slasher like myself. ;)

Got it, Director's Cut.

I think I might vaguely remember having wondered about her myself.

Heh, reminds me of Padme's story being in the deleted scenes for Revenge of the Sith.

Definitely a big deal. :D
