Apple Pie

There is nothing like the aroma of burnt sugar filling your home to remind you of the importance of putting a drip pan underneath your pie. (I put one under the second pie). We will see how these pies turned out- I do not claim to be a pie expert. In fact, I forgot to brush the first one with milk and sprinkle with sugar until 10 minutes before it was done, and on the second one I forgot the dots of butter. Memere I am not.
