Christmas is coming
I just wanted to make everyone aware that Christmas is exactly two months from today (61 days if your counting, but who is?). This is an important fact to know in the retail business as people tell you they are "getting ideas for Christmas", you must tell them to buy now! Your ideas will be gone by the time you get back! Ok, so I'm not that pushy of a saleswoman but the fact some people have started there serious Christmas shopping, especially on weekends.
Originally, I wanted to scream at the thought of all this Christmas business before Halloween but I've decided it's not worth it. We have lots of Christmas merchandise in already (although not displayed in your face) and the truth is, Christmas children's books are enjoyable to read anytime of year and the puzzles are great to look at. The singing Elmo Christmas stocking, however, is another story.
I was annoyed about the thought of putting read fabric in the doll cases, and even being asked to think about Christmas window displays a couple days ago, but why should I be? Christmas is a fun holiday and as long as we realize that no major displays will be put up until November, then I'm happy.
