Prompt: 9- Wander
Julia blinked, eyes adjusting to the darkness. ‘Did I… sleepwalk here?’ she wondered. She appeared to be in a field, but she knew what lay over the hill.
Shaking her head, she turned away. ‘I won’t go home yet, but I’m not going there,’ she decided.
Wandering aimlessly around the field, Julia found a rose bush near the edge and carefully picked a few. With a deep breath, she headed up the hill. Letting her feet lead her, she came to Brea’s grave. She set the roses down and whispered, “I miss you,” letting one tear fall before walking away.
