Wow.

I was in CVS today and I saw an issue of Star magazine with the headline of “STARS, FLAWED! Nobody’s perfect”. This featured a photo of Courtney Love caught making an awkward face, unaware that she was being photographed. I’m sorry, but isn’t is pretty obvious that Courtney Love has problems, far more severe than a bad picture? They showed Julia Roberts and Britney with flab, fine. But Courtney Love? That’s just a given.

When I got home I did a little research in preparation for my meeting with my professor tomorrow for my directed study. My topic was the Jewish experience in Prague, and the Holocaust makes up for a great deal of what a read about (having visited the concentration camp). I heard that my professor is especially fascinated with those people who think that the Holocaust never happened, and it was just a big lie that the Jews made up because they were mad at the Germans. I’ve always been sort of intrigued by these people too, so I did some searching and came up with some scary stuff, as well as some crazy White Pride web sites. I’m all for freedom of speech, but these people are crazy. I would really like to know, where all of my family members (and those of so many other Jewish, Gypsy, homosexual, black, disabled, etc.) are who apparently mysteriously disappeared. Where is Anne Frank, and then what was she hiding from? If there was no Holocaust, then what was the concentration camp I visited used for? As a resort? I read and I read through these hateful words, which pained me more than I can say, and I didn’t find answers too my questions. It scares me to death that there are people with so much hate inside them, that they believe this stuff. Some of them even make music about it. I remember studying “Resistance Records” a label out of West Virginia that preaches this stuff. I really just can’t believe it.
