One field for them and one for the rest of us

Ok, so I have just seen something that has made me really angry. There is this company that is going around some of the festivals and having their own camping field. They fill it will tents and put basic equipment into the tent, such as camping mat and sleeping bags etc. So, for a fee you can hire these tents so that you don't need to lower yourself by pitching a tent or carrying your own shit. The fields also have better toilet facilites and their own shower blocks.

Is this what the festival experience has become? Surely the point is to meet with like-minded people, listen to some good tunes and rough it for a few days. When did the world become so sanitised? I am disgusted that there are even people out there that think that this is a good idea cause you know, you wouldnt want to have to mix with the general festival going population and possibly get dirty! Perish the thought darling. Look you middle class twats, if you are not prepared to slum it for a couple of days in with the rest of us then I dont think you should even be allowed to buy a ticket, festivals would be much better without you cunts. This is going to attract the same sort of girls that were in front of me in torrential rain at Leeds last year wearing fucking flip-flops.

Festival organisers should be ashamed of letting these people do this and hear I would like to name and shame the organisers of Oxygen and Connect (both of which I am planning ot go to this yr) and the Carling weekend Leeds and Reading. What next massive hotels built on festival sites and then the rich can watch from their balcony? Once again mechanisms are in place where people with money can buy better treatment than the rest of us and the organisers should be as disgusted with themselves as I am.
Wow all that vitriol over a few tents - but damn it made me angry.

festivals, oxygen, leeds festival, connect
