Potty training suck! I am going crazy with this potty training business. She refuses to go on the potty. I put her on the potty and she will sit there for hours and not go. The minute the diaper or pullups go back on she goes. I know you might be thinking then dont put them on her.....then she would pee on my floor. No thank you. Been there done that. Today we are having a mini potty party. She is sittig on the potty with her stories and she had her lunch here and still nothing. She has been sitting on the potty for almost two hours and nothing. I would love to put her into dance or daycamps and such but they wont take her now that she is over 24 months and not potty trained. Ugh. Dont know what to do. I ask her all the time, Sophie lets go to the potty and she freaks out and cries. I have tried rewarding her, encouraging her, just putting her on the potty and nothing works at least so far. I dont know what do try with her. Its very fusterating.I wish children can with a button that you could push that would immediatly potty train them. Grr. I think at this rate I will have Lucas potty trained before her. The minute he turns a year old he will be sitting on the potty. I am tired of diapers. Its just gross and expensive.
Lucas update. He is doing so much better today. This weekend was touch and go there for a while. We almost had to take him to the childrens hospital this weekend. So much diarhhea that he was getting dehydrated. We managed to get him hydrated and last night he keep all his bottles down. He was actually starting to smile and move around on his own a bit. This morning he was fussy but generally back to normal. He kept his solid food down and tomorrow we are starting again with the formula. Crossing my fingers that everything goes well.
So on to the meme. Day 4. A song that makes you sad. The first time i heard this song I was unprepared for it. My friend had heard it on the radio and then I was chatting with him one night and he went to youtube and played it. It made me cry. It still makes me cry everytime that I hear it. Kinda devestating that this happens and people often dont do something about it until its too late. The song is Alyssa lies by John Micheal Carroll. As

a parent you never want your child to go threw this or have your child come to you and say this.
Day 5- A song that reminds you of someone. This one was another hard one. Which song for which person. Do I pick a song that reminds me of someone I loved and lost like my grandmother. I loved her so much. It has been 6 1/2 years since she has been gone or do I pick someone else. Someone that made me happy when times were rough? Chris? We have a lot of possibilities there. I decide to do this one. Its zztops La Grange. This song reminds me of my dad. Once upon a time I was a daddy's girl. Then I grew up and saw the real relationship between my parents. Not a daddy's girl anymore. It was hard once I was able to see the man that he was in my eyes to the man that he really was. This is one of the happier times. Whenever this song use to come on the radio when we were in the car or on a road trip(bowling vacation) he would turn it up really loud and play the guitar on the steering wheel. The crazier it got the more animated he became. It was hilrious to see as a child, mildy embarrasing as a teenager and and now as an adult, I can look back on it with a smile. My dad has been gone now for two years. Its sad that I wasnt sure that I was going to miss him. I do. This song is for him and what use to be.

Day 6-A song that reminds you of somewhere. So many places so little time to write about them. This one was relatively easy. When I was about thirteen or so my famiy took went to Surrey. It is about a 10 hour ride considering all the stops that had to be made along the way. Anyways me would either make a burn cd or listen to cds on the way there. Bob (stepdad) would get his picks since he was the driver, my mom would get hers and then me and my sisters would get ours. Anyways Surrey is along drive to be cooped up in a minivan and by the end of it we were getting stir crazy and then our cd came on. Im not sure how this song made it on the cd but it did. It was a remix of this one but cant find the remixed version. It was probably off a dance mix cd. The song is Tequilla by The Champs. The remixed version I have no idea cant remember. We would dance in our seats to the music and went it would say "tequilla" we would stop in whatever position we were in and shout Tequilla. It was hilarious. At least to us. Our parents....mildly amused that we were not asking if we were there yet. lol good times!

Oh the times we had. Lol I am enjoying this song meme. Even if no one listens to the songs that I have posted, I am enjoying sharing the memories that are behind them. Some make me sad, some happy. Others mildly amused. We shall see how the rest of the month goes. I might be sad to see it end.
