Birthday in the States and other things...

I haven't updated in like a month.. HOW SLACK! I know!

So, whats been happening... Well.. I have been hanging out with some really cool people from this church youth group. (Yeah I know.. not really me.. the whole church thing.. but they are still nice). We tend to do stuff on a friday night, which then extends into the early hours of saturday morning which sucks sometimes because I have to work on Saturdays.

We have been to Boston a fair few times. Got to do the journey back by myself in Anna's car once.. I didn't get lost!! That was pretty cool. I've seen a few movies, bought myself a laptop and been buying clothes as the weather is cooling off. It got down to 0C this morning, and we got a visit from Jack Frost.. They call it the First Frost which means it'll only be getting cooler from now on in...

Celebrated my 27th birthday last Saturday. I had gone out the night before, we went to some one's house and watched the Boston Red Sox play the Cleveland Indians... and then we ventured once again to the IHOP (International House of Pancakes for those of you who don't know). We usually end up at the IHOP every friday night/saturday morning.. and we have this guy Travis who always waits on our table. Well I told him it was my birthday (as it was 1am Saturday) and he brought out my order of pancakes with a bit of decorative stuff on it.. Cherries cut in half with a choc chip inside it, whipped cream and chocolate sauce.. Was a nice touch.

Stayed at Anna's.. and we stayed up late talking and being on our laptops... woke up about 10ish and decided we'd head to Manchester for a shopping spree. I bought 2 shirts, and a jacket for $30. I also bought a panoramic puzzle picture of Boston to send back to the family to show them. There wasn't one for New Hampshire.. But I will keep looking. Got lost on the way to the Mall though!!!! But we ended up at this really cool diner off the beaten track and had a really good/cheap lunch and got directions we needed. We then got back just in time to get ready to go to Foxboro Massachussetts for the game between the New England Revolution soccer team and the Columbus Crew. We were suprised at the amount of traffic on the road!!! Got there about 10 mins into the first half and yelled and cheered and participated in the mexican wave. The team ended up losing by 1.. but oh well.. Guess that happens. We headed out with the crowd, and as we were driving.. saw the Cheesecake Factory and decided to pull in for a late night snack. I ordered a piece of Chocolate Cake and couldn't even eat a third of it as it was uber chocolately!! (It took me 3 sittings to eat it over the weekend) The waiter people brought me out a small birthday sundae that had a candle in it and sang happy birthday. We watched some of the Red Sox Game on the tv's there and then headed back to anna's. I sat in the front with Tyler and we spoke about how he can justify drinking and smoking cigars when most "Christian" people don't do it because its wrong. He said that he can justify it because God said to drink and be merry, but to never do it to excess.. I guess he has a point.. He did turn water into wine!!! Anyways, TJ and Anna and Justin were in the back.. all kinda sleeping.. and then we all of a sudden got into singing National Anthems! Was strange... I was the only one singing the Aussie anthem.. but when it came to the USA one.. lol I felt outnumber!! 4 - 1.

I have got more tapes of my holiday.. I had 3, but the first one got wiped somehow!!!!! So pissed off about that.. but I have another 2 to send home to my mum! Can't wait to get back home and watch them a year from now and see how much things have changed.

Got down to 0'C this morning.. means that things will get colder as the weeks progress. We are headed to Marco Island Florida on the 15th of november for 9 days. I will have some time off.. but I will be working. We will have thanksgiving there.. Should be fun. We had Canadian Thanksgiving 2 weeks ago.. It was INSANE! I was getting lost in the conversation as the adults in the family would be having like 3 conversations at one time and all talking over the top of eachother and yet still able to continue.. Gen's brother, Mike looked at me and started laughing and said that I looked like I was a bit confused.. Guess having the wine didn't help... But it was fun.. had the kids on Sunday.. We went up to Pierce Island with the cousins and did a scavenger hunt! That was a lot of fun once they got into looking for stuff.. Time seemed to just fly..

I think thats all for now... I have photos of everything I've done.. so go check em out at www.flickr.com/photos/CrazyBexta
