Tales from a desert trip...
I have tons to say about our trip to Death Valley and Manzanar, but we just got home today and I'm exhausted and cranky because I have to have blood work done in the morning and I'm fasting, ugh. Here are a few photos of Death Valley...
View from the drive down. It was the scariest drive I've ever done. I don't really know why I've gotten so squishy about mountain driving but I was a nervous wreck. Thomas has been making fun of me because at one point we were going down this extremely steep, windy, and skinny grade and I was like, "AHHH, UM, I'M JUST GONNA LOOK AT MY SANDWICH!" WTF? (in my defense, I was actually eating a sandwich).

More pics tomorrow... We got to run through the dunes at the sea level point, where Star Wars was filmed... AND I got to walk around in the area where Erich Von Stroheim filmed the last 3 minutes of GREED. He made his crew stay in the scorching desert for days until this last small scene was perfect, ha
