an interesting angel to say the least.
one who jumps off street signs at oncoming cars
just to feel them pass right through his stomach.
logical seraph
who subscribes to the religion of reason
and moral law.

he’s all perfect angles and pretty curves-
diving headfirst into alleyways looking for trouble.
stubborn lover,
your eyes glow with forgetfulness
but i can’t blame you,
it’s an angel’s glow,
it burns the brightest under the influence of blues and alcohol
(he’s really a whiskey man at heart)
and i respect that:
two feet safely planted
while two wings fight to free his eyes.
unlikely to say the least,
but an angel nonetheless.
