A visitor!

One of the newly-flying babies from the WaMu Tower has decided he likes our deck. He's been hanging out here all afternoon.

He doesn't appear to be wounded, although he was being dive bombed by a murder of crows when he decided to take refuge in the potted plant. Both wings seemed to be working just fine (he flapped them around for a bit, about fifteen minutes ago, when he decided to defecate on the vegetation), and he seems alert. We guess he's just tired; the building has a wildlife rescue on call, just in case.

I am so totally not getting work done...

Edit: She is A47, as her leg band showed when she flew away. Fish & Wildlife said that at this age, they can still be a little freaked out by flying--it's apparently not uncommon for them to decide to land and lay down to calm themselves. I guess I'd be pretty freaked out by flying, too.

Hopefully we will be seeing more of her, as she lives right across the street.
