Little gems
The great thing with having an electronic journal is that I can edit things. Now for my own weird purpose of this entry I'm going to make a list of interesting chinese things I find out from my mother:
- Chinese girls should never smile in photographs with their teeth showing.
- It is bad luck to wash a wallet/purse. Never ever wash a wallet/purse because when you do you will never get any money back in it.
- You should never give a wallet as a gift to someone without putting any money in it.
- If you ever find jewellery on the ground and pick it up to keep, you should put money on the ground (any amount) where you found it (kind of like your buying it). Otherwise you'll get ill until you spend the amount of money the jewellery is worth.
