Roadtrip 2012

I had to get back to work, but my husband lingered the morning yesterday before driving back (from Milwaukee to DC is 13 or 14 hours; not sure how he does this. I just can't stand driving for extended periods. 2 hours and I'm done.) to talk to an indie film maker whose work we had been enjoying. He was worried that maybe these guys would turn out to be jerks with cameras, but the one guy he met up with was relaxed and genial, showed him their DIY studio, talked movies for a while. He was very impressed, so I can see him providing them more help in the future, such as it is. I assume that if they Make It Big, Sam Raimi style, this Nail Soup approach will become ineffective and unnecessary. I hope so.

The view out of the Hyatt Place near General Mitchell Airport. Man this place if patriotic. No doubt what country we're in here.
