Let's say..... you break your car. Like, you mess it up pretty good. It's basically falling apart. And it makes you really upset to see your car this way because you LOVED this thing. I mean, it was like the center of your life, your pride and joy...so to see it all broken makes you really upset. Now, before you call the junk yard, you need to realize that your car is just broken, not totaled. It CAN be fixed with some hardwork and a little effort. Buuuuut the problem is, it makes you too upset to work on your car because it makes you think of how it broke in the first place. So you don't even try to repair it. You throw a sheet over it and leave it in the garage, trying to forget about it for a couple of days....but then you realize that you really need and miss your car and like having it around. You go into the garage, take the sheet off, apologize to it for leaving it alone for a few days, then get in it and drive. Sounds like everythings okay right? Wrong. You forgot that your car is still broken. And it's going to stay broken until you fix it and try working on it. Pretending that there is no problem with your car and completely ignoring the fact that it's going to take a little extra work right now  isn't going to make it okay. Your car can't run without being fixed. Sure, it may get you down the driveway, and maybe around the block, but it's going to keep breaking if you don't take the time and effort your car requires to get it back into perfect condition. Besides, it's not like you even have to talk about what happened to it in order to fix it. Just give it a little extra attention because if you really care about the car, you would want to do that anyway. And really, you love this car, so it shouldn't be that hard of a task. Just a little hard work...and really, wouldn't it be worth it in the long run? Everyone wants a nice car after all. Especially if you're in love with the one you have already...
