I like my new room...
It doesn't feel as ghetto. I love having a bigger bed too, so much more room to stretch out. Most of my stuff is put away and organized. I picked up my keys this afternoon so that I can legitamately get in and out. Still have some more decorating to do though because the walls are pretty bare. I did hang my diploma up though which makes me feel wicked accomplished. I spent most of the day with Katie...the freshman who moved into Kim's room from my neighborhood in FC. She's a cool girl whose boyfriend of a few years is at a different school so we share something in common there. She doesn't know anyone other than me or Sarah and doesn't have a car so until band camp starts she's pretty much stuck here and bored. I took her grocery shopping and made her dinner tonight since she's still figuring out the eating for one thing.
Work was complete hell yesterday. The fire alarm went off in the morning and I was outside talking to Leslie for 45 minutes. I guess there was a flood and somehow that set off the fire alarm?? It made absolutely no sense to me but thats what happened. That was cool but for some reason the blinking strobe light of the fire alarm was not turned off when we got back in the building and continued to blink all morning. That made me feel not so good and gave me a bad headache. On top of that, they made me play receptionist yesterday. I have never ever answered a phone, put someone on hold or transferred someone. I guess our receptionist was out that day and the other girl that fills in couldn't do it so they gave it to me. Now do I completely know the program, do I know how to answer questions, do I even know how to transfer a call???? NO! So it was like a really really bad dream where you're stuck somewhere but you don't know how and then you have no idea what you're doing but you're pretty sure you're doing it completely ass backwards. Plus that damn light was blinking every second so it was really adding to that whole surreal nightmare feeling. So thank God I told them I had to leave early to move otherwise I would have been stuck there the entire day instead of a few hours. I called AJ when I got out thinking he would probably already be in town but he hadn't even left yet. I guess his parents were giving him tons of things to do before he left. Because of unusual traffic he didn't even get here until 3:30. We did have a nice time though, it was a very nice date. I managed to find Winter Park all by myself and we went to Buca's which was very cool and very tasty. After that we got The Producers b/c there's still not really anything out and some ice cream. :-) He left this morning around 7:30 because he had to work at 10 and unfortunately got a speeding ticket in a huge speed trap, poor guy, he called a little disgruntled about that but he says its ok. I just found out tonight that LMNO is having a surprise birthday party so I'm going to try to catch a little bit of that. I can't miss his birthday, it's Steve, I can deal with a little bit of retardedness for him.
