So yeah..
I'm letting nano kick my backside, but yuletide is finally open for nominations so yeah...lets get on another challenge right off the bat of the last one. lol.
So I didn't get the teaching job I went for this week, which totally sucks, it's the only job that's actually come up in my town, it would have been perfect coz the school was great and the kids were fantastic. I guess they didn't like my teaching style or something, they thought I pitched it slightly off for the year group, which may well be, but there's all kinds of reasons that I won't go into as to why I did that and mostly has to do with their requirements for interview. I think I just misfired but frankly that happens every time and I'm about ready to say "You know what? Fuck it, I am clearly not meant to be teaching."
In slightly related news I have a trial shift at a local sweet shop on Wednesday for a part time job, which totally offsets my four years at uni. (ha!) sorry. But actually I am ridiculously grateful for it because at least I will FINALLY BE EARNING SOME MONEY. Yeah, only about £500 a month, but for four months I haven't spent a penny of my own money, so frankly it's a bonus.
Mark's Xmas present was delivered, so that's in the bag and I can stop worrying about it. I can't tell you what it is because he has my LJ and might read this but he's gonna love it :D
So in an effort to bolster myself for the coming week and because everything's a bit shit atm, I'm down on the love meme
