Right now, I am in a limbo. A purgatory, you could call it, as it does seem pretty hellish.
I've applied to five schools: Pace University, SUNY Binghamton, Buffalo, and Albany, and Vassar College. Pace U has already accepted me. It's located in the city (the city being Long Island speak for New York) and that's pretty much the entire reason I applied. It also has an acceptance rate of 75%, so it wasn't that shocking I made it in. Still, if the other schools reject me, it's nice to know I'll be in Manhattan. The SUNY schools I'm not excited about in the least. I only applied because they're cheap safeties. Vassar, however, is perhaps my dream school.
I first heard about it Wikipedia-ing (is that a verb yet?) Sam Endicott (of The Bravery), who is an alumnus. It was nibbling at the back of my head for a month before I did something about it with my counselor at the last possible second and then I submitted my application the day before the deadline. Looking at the college more in depth, it looks like my dream school. I can't explain it but everything looks perfect - or, rather, everything sounds perfect.
So now, I have four months of this purgatory to hold my breath and wait... wait... wait...
Oh! And I discovered
