Beautiful Bits of Ottawa

Oct 17, 2012 20:05

It has recently occurred to me that I haven't posted any pictures of how awesome my new city of residence is. Here are a few to remedy this sad state of affairs...

To begin with, one of the most beautiful libraries in Canada, in the parliamentary building. (Unfortunately for me, most of the books are legal texts and for the use of MPs and Senators)

The exterior of the library. It's the oldest part of the Parliament building: the rest burned down in 1916.

A view of Ottawa's Parliament buildings from across the river from the Canadian Museum of Civilization in Gatineau, Québec.

o ottawa!, true north strong and free
