Author's Notes: This idea occured to me about a month ago, and this challenge was the perfect opportunity to write it.
Bella grins devilishly as she crouches on the slight mound that signifies second base, stretching her shield around Alice, then Rosalie and Esme. She watches in amusement as Edward’s face goes from confused to irritated as his eyes flick to hers.
“That’s not justified.”
“Says the cheater.”
The mental silence from her team distracts him momentarily, but just long enough for Rosalie to hit the ball with a resounding crack deep into the woods and earn them two home runs, one after another.
Alice and Bella wink at each other; Edward sulks and Alice rolls her eyes.
“Fair is fair.”
