so every senior at laurel has to give what's called a "senior speech." It has to be about twenty minutes and it can be on any topic of your choice. guess what i'm doing for my senior speech? that's right, NWT, musical theatre and Sondheim. Theme: how musical theatre is gonna change the world. ok, maybe not that drastic, but you catch my drift

oh.my.god. it was halarity when i think about what i was obsessing about: gel pen in lab notebook is a no no, blue pen in lab notebook is a no no, gel pen on hw assignment that i did previously made me really pissy. there is more, i cannot recall them as perfectly however, but all made me mad and obsessive...
but, i completely agree with you. nwt is so powerful. when i walk in, its like im in a completely different world -but a better one. everyone gives what they've got, and in return get what others give. I think i will have trouble writing this speech because it is so much a part of me that reading it to hb girls, i feel like, is selling my soul. it might seem so ideal and utopian to them that they won't believe it. and anyways, the reason i don't tell people about nwt is bc the summer is mine, the times at nwt is my time to get away from it all. but then again, i doubt those girls will ever know true beauty, and true love for a group/place. and so maybe i should follow the moral of giving what ive got. i decided that i will, but i cant help thinking that they dont deserve to know truth.
oh, btws, you guys prob did call it before me. i only knew after oklahoma. -that show, i think, was my lifesavor
