I bought more music. *gasp* This time, it was Snow Patrol - Final Straw from Rasputins. Another fantastic album. =P Ah, I love music. What would I do without it?!
What have I been up to lately? Not much, just the usual bumming around. Last Saturday, I went to dragon boat practice like I do every Saturday. It was the first one I went to with all the Davis members and it was the first time I paddled with a full boat. It was interesting. Everyone seemed really cool, except it was sorta weird since everyone knows everyone already and I'm shy like that. Blah. Anyways, after that I went home and went to dinner with the group for Lan's birthday. I haven't seen Lan or Paula in a hella long time! =( And I see them right before they start school again. *sigh* But still, it was great seeing them, and Jeremy, Vicky, and Kimhak again. I miss my friends so much. I hate that school, work, and my parents had to be in the way of me seeing them as much as I would have liked. Grr. Anyways, we went out for Korean BBQ. It was decent. I think the restaurant we chose wasn't the best... but I would try it again. After that went to the Asian bookstore, loitered in front of Lion's Supermarket, went to Tapioca Express to use the bathroom, and then loitered in the parking lot. I went home at 11 without my parents calling me once! AMAZING! LoL I probably would have gotten a yelling if I didn't have to wake up early and go to dragon boat practice on Sunday.
That practice was interesting. LoL. 5 people on a boat made it really hard. Plus we got a pretty hard workout. I got very sore. LoL. I got home really really tired, but my dad wanted to go out so we went to Ikea and waded through the Sunday crowed to get my dresser! Too bad they were out of the desk I wanted. >_< That sucks because now I am doubting that I want it because it is a corner desk and it would reduce the arrangement possibilities of the room...
Wednesday, I went to lunch with Donna, Cindy, and Chris to discuss housing stuff. It was cool to see them again. Donna and I went to Ocean Beach and had a hella long talk, catching up and stuff. I miss her lots! =P She's so cool.
I watched Edward Scissorhands today. I borrowed it from the library. LoL. It was a pretty cool movie. Very original and unique. I enjoyed it very much and would recommend it. Speaking of the library, I got my free ticket to Great America from the Teen Summer Reading Program thingy! Awesome! So my sister and I plan a sister-ly trip there some time in September after all the kiddies are back in school. I can't wait.
I rented Kill Bill 2 and 13 Going on 30 from Albertson’s today. I can't wait to see them. =P
I haven't been watching the Olympics as much as I wanted... but I'm too lazy to get off the computer and go to the living room. LoL. But, I did watch it last night. Man, Michael Phelps is pretty cute. Especially in the ATT commercial... and I love his smile. Haha. I like it when guys smile. =P Anyways, so I was looking at the stats of the US Olympic athletes and DUDE! Michael Phelps is YOUNGER THAN ME. Just by a few months... but I swear I thought he was at least 20-something... I guess I'm still in the mentality that these people should be older than me. But in reality, a lot of these athletes are much younger than me, yet they are achieving so much more. Like that Carly chick who won the gymnastics gold last night. She's 16! They make me feel old, and unimportant, and boring. When will I make my mark in the world? I mean, that's what I believe the purpose of life is... to make a mark, to have a purpose in this life. They've already done it at such a young age... when will it be my turn??
Well, this has turned into a really long post and I must sleep and prepare for practice tomorrow... 10:30am in Alameda... and then sushi with the Girls! Woohoo! =P Two of my most favorite things in the world! Cheerio, all!
BTW, 18 days until Davis... freedom! =D
