I lost a friend today.
Well, she passed away and I just now got the email saying she'd passed away.
The last I heard from her she was her normal, cheerful self, happy. Telling me how wonderful her husband was, and she was happy.
She's gone. And I can't say good-bye.
I can cry over her loss, well, my loss of such a wonderful friend. Someone who supported me and who I tried to return the favor. But I wasn't there when things went south or if she died suddenly, I have no idea how or why. She's just gone.
I don't know how she died.
I don't have flowers to send... we were friends on the internet, we sent emails, we read each other's stories, we left each other reviews and shared comments... I'll miss the smile in her words and the cheerful hellos.
I'll miss her.
If angels read emails, I hope they tell Livvy I loved her.
