Rainy night in Georgia
Dang...it's been a little while since I've posted more than a birthday message. BTW, Happy birthday over the weekend to

Just a little post because I have been busy as crap. Recent events include TimeGate and Monster Bash. Activities with friends include the pirate wedding of Bill Bill to Cat, moving of
amazing_tito and
spiritchaser1, birthday party of tk0667 and other general fun and busy stuff.
I took Friday off to relax and run errands. I went and saw an early showing of You Don't Mess with the Zohan. Meh. Don't pay full price or catch it on cable. Saturday we moved in the BILLION degree heat and humidity. Afterwards I went to
tk0667's birthday cookout. Sunday spent the day with the parent's taking them to lunch, running to Home Depot and doing other things in the terrible heat.
Today was spent running around getting groceries and cooking to feed the homeless that a group does ever couple months. I took a break from cooking bbq chicken, mashed potatoes, corn green beans, yeast rolls and peach cobbler to pick up my sister, brother in-law and nephew from the airport and run them to Palmetto.
I'm now sitting at da house on the screened porch with the laptop watching the lightning, enjoying the cool breeze and dreading work tomorrow. Taking a couple days off always means hell for catch-up. :\
Many people know that I play poker every Tuesday night with a bunch of my college buddies. I also pick up an 89 year old, who is a friend of the host and shuttle him to and from poker. The 89 year old called me today and he spent Friday in the hospital. His doctor has said that he has to cut out the late nights. Issues with his legs make the doctor nervous that blood clots could cause him serious health concerns. I've been playing poker with this old guy for more than 13 years and driving him for at least the last 9. He has always looked forward to the Tuesday nights at poker and was very sad that he can't keep going. I'm also sad, cause I'm going to miss the old goat.
