*Canadian French swears are almost all based around the Christian religion, describing religious things, etc. A tabernacle is the fixed, locked box in which, in some Christian churches, the Eucharist is stored. Yeah, idk. Quebec is weird like that. ♥♥♥

"J’ai la langue à terre..." literally means 'my tongue is on the ground' and it used to indicate exhaustion or just like... extreme hunger.
