A/N: Vampire AU, yay. (For Halloween?)
Nino made his way down to the dungeons, shivering only slightly. His light steps echoed off the heavy walls, being the only sound; maybe the scuttling of a rat’s paws on the ground or a flutter of a bat’s wings, though Nino wasn’t sure if he was just imagining it or not. The candles on the walls cast a dim glow, though it was barely enough to warm up the slight man.
He reached the end of a hall, where a big, old door stood alone. Nino took a deep breath and knocked twice. A moment of silence, and Nino was more than glad to leave immediately, hoping there was no one to answer. However, his hopes sinking quickly, the door slowly opened.
Nino entered, wondering how the door opened by itself- perhaps it was a ghost, though Nino doubted that for having a ghost as a servant was highly rare in these days. He quickly glanced around the room, noticing a fireplace- which was thankfully emitting such a pleasant warmth- and a few candles decorating the room. There wasn’t anything much exciting, except for a bed in the corner with red sheets which reminded Nino horribly of blood. He swallowed thickly, his eyes slowly wandering over to the chair sitting in front of the fireplace. There was a small table next to it with a few empty dishes on it; Nino wondered what kind of food was previously on it.
He glanced back at the back of the chair, where he could see the main’s spiked hair. Nino wondered how the face looked. He wanted the man to turn around to face him, but at the same time he didn’t want the man to move at all. Rather, he hoped the still man was dead.
“Don’t just stand there, boy,” a voice drawled.
Nino jumped slightly, stuttering, “I-I’m sorry.” He swiftly moved to the side of the chair, but enough so that he could see the man’s face clearly. It seemed bored- blank. Nino couldn’t tell what it was thinking. All he could seem to focus on was the fire’s reflection in the man’s eyes.
The man was dressed mostly in black, rich clothes. Even the chains on his pants seemed much too expensive for Nino’s liking.
Nino had to admit though- the man was extremely good looking.
The eyes left their gaze on the fire, moving onto Nino, who couldn’t hold back a shiver as his eyes looked him over. The man chuckled, though it had no emotion in it.
“What were they thinking, sending over a skinny boy like you,” he said quietly, looking back into the fire. Nino flushed. “But who knows...Maybe you do have good blood.”
“I don’t think they sent me in here for that reason, Ohno-sama,” Nino muttered, looking down at his feet nervously.
“What else would I do with you?” Ohno frowned slightly, but it disappeared before Nino could make sure he had actually seen it.
“That’s for you to decide.” Nino watched the man closely, how his eyes traveled over to a table in the corner. Nino followed his gaze, scanning the objects on the table that he failed to notice earlier. Nino shivered again, noticing the sex toys.
“It’s amazing,” Ohno said quietly, looking at Nino, “how many people have come down here to be treated as objects used by me. Father tries to please me, though he keeps me imprisoned down here.”
Nino frowned, letting the words sink in. Somehow, the man sounded...bitter. “Can’t you go out?” He asked.
“I’m a vampire. My life would be at stake if I left,” Ohno said, his eyes never leaving Nino’s. “But yes, I can go out if I truly wish to.”
“You sound like you want to,” Nino said hesitantly. Ohno looked away.
“Why would I? It would put others into danger as well, wouldn’t it?”
And in an instant, Nino understood. Ohno wasn’t worried about his own life- he was worried about what he’d do to others. Vampires couldn’t control themselves when they were surrounded by blood, after all.
Slowly, Nino took a step forward. When he was sure the man didn’t protest in any way, he walked his way closer to the man, until they were an arm’s length away. This much closer, he could notice that the vampire’s eyes hadn’t been so empty as he had though they were. He could clearly see the sorrow from memories of everything the vampire had to go through- and that, Nino didn’t know what he went through. Nino was sure it wasn’t pleasant, though.
A hand raised, grasping Nino’s wrist, almost uncertainly. Nino noticed how long and delicate his fingers were. They tugged him down, who obediently knelt down in front of the vampire. Ohno gave him a look, and Nino immediately understood. His heart beating faster than normal, Nino crawled onto Ohno’s lap, making sure his neck was in clear view of the vampire’s mouth. He gripped Ohno’s shoulder tightly without meaning to.
Closing his eyes, Nino felt the vampire’s cold lips touch his neck softly. He shivered. Quickly after, a warm tongue licked his neck slowly, making the slight man sigh softly. Nino bit his bottom lip, waiting for the fangs.
However, Nino could only feel the tongue make its way to the underside of his jaw. Teeth nipped lightly, causing Nino to whimper quietly. Another light nip, now on his earlobe. Nino opened his eyes, wondering why the fangs hadn’t come yet. Ohno looked back at Nino, his eyes saying everything. Nino understood.
Nino loosened his grip on the man’s shoulders. Arms wrapped around instead, and Nino leaned down to kiss. Although Nino had started it, it was the vampire who mostly controlled the kiss, his tongue easily swirling around in Nino’s mouth. His long fingers combed through Nino’s hair, making him moan softly into the kiss.
Ohno ended the kiss, chuckling softly at Nino’s whimper of disappointment. Nino stared into the vampire’s eyes, which weren’t red and thirsty for blood, but nice and gentle. Nino knew those were Ohno’s eyes. He knew what they were telling him.
Nino leaned down and rested his head on the man’s shoulder, closing his eyes and just enjoying the warmth of the arms blanketing him.
“I don’t mind if you need my blood...” Nino murmured softly.
“I don’t need it,” Ohno said firmly, his hold tightening slightly.
“.....Do I have to leave?” Nino said so quietly, it took the older man a few seconds to interpret what he said.
“You don’t want to stay here.”
“Your father...” Nino started hesitantly, “Before I came down here, he said I could take whatever I wanted to.” Nino blushed, but he raised his head to look at Ohno’s startled eyes.
“Father wouldn’t do that,” Ohno breathed, unbelieving. Nino nodded rapidly.
“He knew.” Nino kissed Ohno’s lips sweetly, then reluctantly left the man’s embrace. “We’ll leave together.”
Ohno looked worried, or confused. But mostly too happy to believe it. They left the room, hand in hand.
Before they went out into the bright sunlight, Ohno stopped, his face looking troubled.
“Ohno..?”
“C-Can I say that I...” Ohno swallowed. Nino stared at the unsure man, who was so unlike the calm vampire he had met before. Perhaps it was the changing in brightness? “...love you?”
“Huh?” Nino blinked. “Ah...!” He smirked and pulled the man close so their chests were pressed together. “As many times as you want,” Nino whispered, closing the distance between their lips.
A/N: Lame ending? Lame fic in general? I don't know. ._. At first I wanted to make Nino have to leave Ohno alone, but I don't want anymore of that. xD
OH YEAH, fic so very inspired by
this picture.
And Wait For Me shall be finished when it's finished. x_x
