Okay, as someone who voted for Badnarik for president, who supports Bush's tax cuts and gay marriage, who is pro-choice and anti-gun control, I feel like I have the right to say this to all of you.
THE WORLD IS NOT ENDING.
Honestly, if I'd HAD to vote for one of the two, gun to my head, I probably would have gone for Bush, but JUST barely. Trust me, I am plenty upset with him for a lot of the same reasons a lot of you are.
But, dude, SETTLE THE HELL DOWN. I know you don't like him. I understand. But for the love of God, can you QUIT going on about how fucking disappointed you are in your fellow Americans and how stupid you think they all are? That's my parents and a good number of my dear friends you're talking about. I don't like seeing those words being thrown around.
Now, complaining about the people who blindly went OMG TERRORISTS AND EVIL GAYS, BUSH BUSH BUSH! -- that's fine. But I know a HELL of a lot MORE people who blindly went OMG WAR IN IRAQ TAX BREAKS FOR THE RICH, KERRY KERRY KERRY!, and that's just as much of an affront to democratic society.
Bush's apparent impending reelection IS NOT a blow to fucking democracy. If anything, it's democracy in action. You believe what you want, but MORE of the country believes in the other guy, so THEY voted for him, and HE FUCKING WON. Welcome to the cold, hard truth of America. If the majority rules, that means someone doesn't.
