It's comforting in some ways, but in other ways not. I don't doubt it at all, but God loves me and you and Hillary Clinton and Charles Manson all the same.
I think what I need is for someone to find me worth something. Or to somehow convince me that my bad points aren't as overwhelming as they seem, and that I've got good points to balance them. I guess I need to know that to love me doesn't require an unconditionality that ignores all my flaws -- that I'm worth loving with my warts, and not in spite of them.
