i just got out of english class.
we discussed words that are often confused. such as:
1. allude is "to refer to" whereas elude is "to avoid"
2. already means "previously" and all ready means "completely ready"
then this one kid goes, "The plural form of ox is oxen. So what you're saying is, next time I go to the doughnut store, I should ask for two boxen of doughnuts?"
so for the remaining 15 minutes, mrs. reid couldn't teach because no one could stop laughing. and it was great.
