I just happened to catch - okay no thats a lie - I deliberately tuned in to Britney Spears' performance as the opener for the mtv music video movie show awards thing, whatever they are calling it...and bottom line:
It was the saddest, most horrific thing I have ever seen. That girl's eyes were BLACK with saddness, and these are the images that come to mind while I was watching it:
1 - a suicidal birthday clown being forced to perform for a bunch of rowdy 6 year olds while all he can think of is putting a gun in his mouth.
2 - a hooker doing a gang bang for a bunch of dudes at a bachelor party.
3 - a stray dog wandering around a parking lot getting cigarette butts thrown at him by a bunch of asshole kids.
4 - a zombie.
Aside from the whole who cares about Britney point - to see a human soul with the look in her eyes was truly horrifying on so many levels......and if that was created by the whole hollywood/media/black hole that seems to work like one ginormous garbage disposal....that to me is scary as hell.
Either way - with the exception of seeing the actual legitimate problems of the world - watching this was the most horrifying experience I have had in a looooooooong long time....
