Who Needs Candy?
Dear Diary,
I've completed one of the bookshelves in the library so far. Actually, no, not the entire bookcase, just one shelf. Whoever this Mark Twain is, he seems to have written an awful lot of books. It's quite hard work, but I'm not exhausted yet. In fact, I'm quite happy to have something to do in this castle. I feel...useful, I suppose.
Right now I'm taking a break from shelving and reading more of the fascinating novel I found about the errant knights. Wizards and dragons and maidens with hair as long as the day. My, this book could keep me rather busy for the rest of the afternoon. Apparently there's some activity going on in the castle. I overheard several people talking about Halloween. Is it that time of year already? Hmmm. Maybe to be in the spirit of things, I'll find a short book on ghost tales. I wonder if the library has my favorite one from when I was little...
There's quite a flurry of activity going on outside the library, but I'm content enough to stay here. If anyone needs me, they know where to find me.
