“What are you doing down here?” Hermione asked.
Severus ignored Hermione briefly. He was in no frame of mind to talk to her, and she still searched him out. Their earlier argument still in the forefront of his mind; making his chest tight with anger.
“Cooking,” he answered, removing the spoon. Cooking was his secret passion. It was similar to potions, much less volatile, and extremely relaxing.
Guilt from their previous argument washed over her. “Severus…” she began, softly. An apology on the tip of her tongue.
“I know,” he nodded.
“Can I have some of your soup?” she smiled.
